
Construction engineers complete the Degree Programme in Civil Engineering at a polytechnic in 4-5 years. There are 18 Finnish polytechnics providing education in construction and civil engineering.
Construction engineers work in construction planning or building project management, as employees or independent entrepreneurs. An important employer of construction engineers is also the building material industry.
The broadness of construction engineering studies gives a good basis for working in challenging, high responsibility tasks in different areas of the building trade.
